Drop off and Pick up
Parents are not permitted inside of the building for drop off and pick up. You will need to remain outside and notify staff of your arrival by ringing the bell or knocking on the door. We also ask that you remain six feet away from the door at all times.

The drop off/pick up sheet will be signed by LASER staff. Our plan for drop off and pick up limits direct contact between parents and staff members and adheres to social distancing recommendation. Parents dropping off at LASER might need to complete our attestation form

Terms and Conditions

  • Parents can choose 1-5 days a week based on need. The days need to be consistent for all weeks and throughout this school year.
  • Priority is given to: (1) Currently enrolled students in our full-day camp. (2) Students with the highest number of days per week, enrolled at Bryant and Laurelhurst elementary schools.                                    (3) Students with the highest number of days per week, enrolled at other schools.
  • We will not be able to accept any cancellations or changes to your schedule for the remainder of the school year. Based on space and staff availability, we can add more days to your schedule.
  • There is a $200 registration fee that will get applied to tuition; this amount is non-refundable if care is dropped.
  • LASER might not be able to offer care to students using school/public transportation to attend LASER from other schools, depending on SPS guidelines and staff availability. If care is not provided to these students, the $200 registration fee will be reimbursed to parents.
  • Fully remote students may need to be consolidated at one site (either Bryant or Laurelhurst), based on enrollment, space, and staffing.
  • During the remote learning at LASER, each student will be provided with a space and they will have access to an outlet to charge their devices. LASER staff will monitor students the best they can and assist them with questions, however, LASER is not responsible for class attendance and completion of assignments. LASER will not provide supplies for school projects, supplies needed for remote projects need to be provided by parents/school.
  • LASER will be closed on Monday, May 31 in observance of Memorial Day.
  • Registration for this program will not affect your priority eligibility for the 2021-22 after-school program.

COVID Guidelines
LASER has been operating and providing care to families for a year during the pandemic to serve the needs of the community. By strictly following safety guidelines and building a high-performance team, we were able to provide a safe and enriching full-day camp.
Using the knowledge we gained during the last 12 months, we are able to offer an even stronger program. We will continue to adhere to the high standards of safety precautions that enabled us to provide an enriching program so far.

  • LASER will follow CDC, DCYF, and State guidelines and our program and daily schedule are modified to strictly observe the social distancing and hygiene protocols.
  • LASER has consistent and strict disinfecting and cleaning guidelines for space and toys.
  • All staff and children will have regular health checks (bodily temperature and respiratory symptom screening) upon arrival to the site, and during the program if they are experiencing fever or any symptoms related to COVID-19. This information will be documented daily.
  • No visitors are allowed in the rooms during LASER operation times.
  • In the event there is a confirmed COVID-19 case among staff or children, LASER will notify school, SPS, and the public health department immediately. LASER will inform employees and parents about the confirmed case, without disclosing the name of the infected and without disclosing confidential medical information of the infected. All people in close contact, as described by CDC, with the infected will be asked to contact their healthcare provider and follow quarantine guidelines. Based on the situation, LASER might consider closing temporarily. LASER will wait as long as recommended (preferably up to 24 hours) before beginning cleaning and disinfecting areas used by the person infected with COVID-19. This will help reduce the potential for exposure to respiratory droplets.
  • If staff or children are running a fever of 100° F [37.8° C] or greater, have a cough, and/or difficulty breathing, or other COVID-10 symptoms, they would be sent home and told to contact their healthcare provider. They cannot return to site until they fulfill CDC’s guidelines.
