Manna Ghandi

Executive Director

I received my Bachelor’s Degree in English Translation and my passion for education led me to completing my first Master’s Degree in Teaching English as a Second Language and my second Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Education at University of Oregon. I have worked in the field of education for more than 12 years and my experience includes instruction at graduate and undergraduate courses, advisement, international recruitment and developing international partnerships, and management and leadership positions at various non-profit organizations, including childcare, and universities.

Prior to joining LASER, I had different leadership positions in Higher Education and my passion to work for younger students drove me to this great place, LASER Childcare! I am an advocate for child-centered and whole-child education aiming at creating a nourishing and fostering environment where all children can develop fully in different areas including social, cognitive, physical, emotional, linguistic, artistic, and more. I believe every child is unique and amazing. My goal as an educator and leader is to make sure that all children are treated with equity and respect, receive meaningful training, and enjoy their colorful lives as children while growing to be a creative and critical thinker next generation.

During my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and our German Shepherd Dog. I love reading, traveling, and cooking and I serve as a voluntary Board Member for Iranian American Community Alliance (IACA). I also enjoy interior design and food design projects if I find time for it.
