2026-27 After-school Program Registration

2026-27 After-school Program Registration

Enrollment Info

Registration for the 2026-27 school year at Bryant and Laurelhurst is opening Monday, May 18 at 8:00 a.m., closing Sunday, May 31 at 11:59 p.m. Registration is for everyone- that's current students, new students, and incoming kindergartners. Please note that enrollment does NOT automatically renew. All families must register to be considered. It doesn’t matter when you register; as long as it’s within the two-week window, your child(ren) will be included in the enrollment lottery.  After May 31st, registrations will be processed on a first-come, first-serve basis for any available spots.

How to Register:

Once you submit your application, a confirmation in your internet browser will appear on your screen.

Enrollment & Lottery Info:

Space is limited. Enrollment is lottery-based, with priority given to currently enrolled families for their current schedules. We’ll do our best to accommodate as many families as possible—don’t let limited space stop you from registering. We are committed to making LASER a program for all.

  • Monday, June 15th: Lottery results announcement date, including placement or waitlist statusAccepted families will receive an invoice for a school year deposit and new student registration fee (if applicable). The deposit is required to reserve your spot and will be applied to your last month of care.

  • You may still register after the enrollment lottery window closes—your child just won’t be included in the lottery.

Room Placement:

New this year, in response to parent feedback!
On the registration form, parents can list the name of ONE other child as a request to place their child in the same room as that child. THIS IS A ONE-TIME ONLY REQUEST, and we cannot guarantee friend placement.
Our staff are dedicated to building strong communities and helping every child develop friendship-making skills. While we understand your child may have social preferences, they’ll have many opportunities throughout the afternoon to spend time with friends from other rooms. We are unable to accommodate requests for room changes, but we’re excited to support your child in making new friends while maintaining existing ones throughout the school year.
There are many space and scheduling considerations when assigning rooms. To best serve the needs of our families, children may be placed in a mixed-age room with peers from the grade above or below.

What’s New for 2026-27

Based on your feedback and LASER’s commitment to ongoing growth to ensure we are always working towards our mission, vision, and values. Here are some things to look forward to in the coming year at LASER:

We’re excited to share several program enhancements for the coming year:

  • New and expanded programming for all grade levels tailored to the developmental needs of each age group.

  • Cross-site League Program for 4th and 5th graders
Twice a month, students will gather at one LASER site for socializing, team-building, and friendly competition through activities like sports, trivia, spelling bees, chess, and more.
    • LASER provides transportation to the host site.

    • Teams will include students from both sites to encourage new friendships.

  • Improved student support systems
We’re continuing to strengthen how we support every child and family to help ensure successful, positive days at LASER.

  • Upgraded club offerings
Clubs will be more consistent, student-driven, and enriching, giving children more opportunities to explore their interests.
